Women’s bodies undergo a multitude of changes pre and post-pregnancy. You certainly aren’t alone if you aren’t able to get back to your pre-baby body, even after losing the weight. This is why many women turn to a mommy makeover.

What Is A Mommy Makeover?

The overall goal is to contour and enhance parts of the body that have been stretched and otherwise changed from pregnancy.  After your first pregnancy you might have only a few small areas of opportunity, or many. However, with every pregnancy your troubled areas will be more noticeable.

What Are The Most Common Post-Pregnancy Cosmetic Procedures?

After your consultation, we will discuss the procedures that will help you achieve your post-baby body goals. Depending on your needs we may perform multiple cosmetic procedures at once or do just one procedure at a time. The most common procedures are:

Tummy Tuck: the skin on your stomach stretches excessively during pregnancy. Even if you are back to your goal weight you may have sagging skin. A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty will address your loose skin providing you with a smoother stomach.

Liposuction: we suggest that you achieve your goal weight before your mommy makeover, but even at your goal weight you may have areas where excess fat remains. Targeted liposuction can remove this fat, which is most common on your arms, thighs, flanks and upper back.

Breast Lift: as you age your breasts will gradually begin to sag, but nothing accelerates this process more than breastfeeding. Even if you didn’t breastfeed, pregnancy weight gain may leave you with sagging breasts. A breast lift will firm your breasts and reposition them to a higher, perky level.

Breast Augmentation: women who never considered breast augmentation may consider implants to fill the lost volume after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Augmentation may be performed in conjunction with a breast lift depending on how much sagging has occurred.

Breast Reduction: some women are left with larger breasts post-pregnancy, which often leads to back pain. A breast reduction can return the breasts to a more manageable and comfortable size.

How Much Does A Mommy Makeover Cost?

Since mommy makeovers aren’t covered by insurance many women “shop around” for the best price. While finding a cosmetic solution that fits into your budget, quality should be your top priority—not budget. Surgery is serious and you need to ensure that you are working with a reputable and trained team. If you opt instead for the cheapest option you are putting your health at risk and will likely get what you paid for.

In addition to quality, we can’t give you a quote over the phone, because post-pregnancy plastic surgery is not a one-size-fits-all solution. The only way to provide an accurate or responsible quote is to perform an in-person consultation.
